Science and technology festivals in Italy and San Marino

Overview

In October 2026, Italy and San Marino are hosting several large-scale events focused on science, youth engagement, and digital transformation.

In Genova, the 24th Festival della Scienza is set to feature approximately 250 events through collaborations with hundreds of research institutions and universities. Concurrently, Rimini will host the inaugural Festival delle Giovani Generazioni, an event dedicated to Generation Z that aims to present the ‘Youz 5’ Manifesto to regional authorities to advocate for youth-focused public policies.

The technological landscape is further highlighted by several regional conferences. Turin’s Wave 2026 conference focuses on the practical business applications of artificial intelligence, while Pisa’s 16th Internet Festival explores digital ethics, cybersecurity, and the impact of AI on society. Additionally, initiatives such as the Living History project in Molfetta and automation efforts by the Sammarinese startup Methody demonstrate the integration of AI into cultural heritage and business efficiency.
