Italy U15 national team advances in FIFA World Cup

The Italy Under-15 national football team, coached by Enrico Battisti, has secured advancement to the next stage of the FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival 2026 after a perfect run in the group stage. The team completed the first phase with five victories from five matches.

Following dominant wins against Turkmenistan (5-1), Qatar (3-0), and the Cook Islands (9-0), the Azzurrini concluded their Group L campaign with a 7-2 victory over Hong Kong. Key performers throughout the group stage included Manuel Ferraro, who scored four goals in a single match against the Cook Islands, and players such as Eric Vian, Andrea Kostyuk, and Alfredo Criscito.

Despite the high scoring, coach Battisti has emphasized the need for greater collective discipline and clinical finishing as the team prepares for the subsequent tournament phases.
