Italy unveils two major long‑term art exhibitions in Piedmont and Emilia‑Romagna

The Galleria Tucci Russo in Torre Pellice, Piedmont, is hosting German artist Thomas Schütte's installation of fifty war‑era coffins, originally created in 1992 during the Yugoslav conflict. The works, some open, some closed or stacked, will remain on display until 20 September 2026, inviting reflection on past and present conflicts.

Meanwhile, the Polo Museale of the Fondazione Tito Balestra in Longiano, Emilia‑Romagna, will present the “L’Arte celata. La Collezione Cocif” exhibition from 19 September 2026 to 29 November 2026. Curated by art historian Claudio Spadoni, the show reveals twenty twentieth‑century Italian and European masterpieces—by artists such as Giorgio de Chirico, Carlo Carrà, and Gino Severini—that have been stored for over three decades by the Cocif industrial cooperative.

Both exhibitions represent significant cultural offerings, extending public access to previously private or unseen works for several years.
