Italian 2026 art exhibitions

In July 2026 Italy announced several high‑profile contemporary‑art events. On 21 July, two long‑term exhibitions were unveiled: the Galleria Tucci Russo in Torre Pellice will display Thomas Schütte’s installation of fifty war‑era coffins until 20 September, while the Fondazione Tito Balestra in Longiano will host the “L’Arte celata. La Collezione Cocif” show from 19 September to 29 November, featuring hidden twentieth‑century Italian and European masterpieces.

A week later, on 27 July, the fifth edition of the national Chiaravelle Arte prize opened, running until 9 August and featuring a roster of established and emerging Italian artists across multiple disciplines. Concurrently, the ten‑year anniversary of the “Stati d’Arte” festival began at Villa Fidelia in Spello, scheduled to run through 30 August and presenting over one hundred works by artists of varied media and nationalities. Both initiatives underscore a coordinated effort to broaden public access to contemporary and historic art across Italy in 2026.
