Italy updates INPS disability allowances and TFR pension modules

New administrative guidelines and forms have been introduced in Italy regarding social security and employment benefits.

For families receiving the INPS disability attendance allowance, benefits are generally reactivated automatically with the start of the school year. If payments are not credited in October, families can contact a patronato to resolve the issue using a parent's self-certification of school enrollment, avoiding the need for formal school certificates.

Additionally, a new TFR3 module has been introduced for private sector employees hired for the first time after June 30, 2026. Under new regulations, these employees are automatically enrolled in supplementary pension schemes. The TFR3 form allows workers to exercise their right to opt out of automatic enrollment, choose a different pension fund, or maintain their severance pay (TFR) with their employer as per traditional civil code regulations. The module is designed to facilitate these choices within 60 days of employment.
