Italy utility maintenance causes scheduled water and power outages

A routine maintenance operation on July 10 will shut down the Mandrainas water‑lifting plant that supplies the reservoirs of several Sardinian towns, including Cuglieri, Narbolia and Riola Sardo. The plant will be offline from about 11:00 to 17:00, which may cause reduced pressure or flow and temporary turbidity in the tap water. Supply will be backed up by existing reservoir reserves.

On July 12, Enel Distribuzione will carry out electrical work in Alessandria between 08:00 and 14:00, replacing electromechanical equipment in a secondary sub‑station. The outage will affect several streets and the city centre, and residents are advised not to use elevators during the work.
