Italy women's volleyball secures semi‑final berth in Nations League

Italy's women's national volleyball team defeated the Netherlands 3–0 (25‑21, 25‑16, 25‑16) in the quarter‑final of the Nations League on 22 July, advancing to the semi‑finals of the tournament that will conclude in Ningbo, China. The Italians dominated from the start, building a 4‑1 lead in the first set and never relinquishing control; standout attackers Ekaterina Antropova and Myriam Fatime Sylla led the scoring effort. The match lasted about 1½ hours.

Ahead of the final tournament, Italy announced a 14‑player squad that includes forwards Yuri Romano and Alessandro Bovolenta. Alessandro Michieletto remains sidelined due to injury and will continue rehabilitation. Kamil Rychlicki, a player of Polish descent who performed strongly earlier in the competition, was not selected for the final roster.
