Italy workplace accidents claim lives in Pistoia and Faenza
Multiple fatal and serious workplace accidents have been reported across several Italian regions.
In Faenza, a 42-year-old worker died after being crushed by a load that fell from a crane at a construction site. A 55-year-old colleague was also injured and hospitalized. Authorities are investigating whether the accident was caused by broken crane cables. The site has been seized by the Ravenna Prosecutor's Office.
In Pistoia, a 43-year-old worker from Eastern Europe died after falling approximately eight meters from a warehouse roof while installing covering panels. In San Martino Buon Albergo, near Verona, a worker was critically injured by an electric shock at a high-speed railway construction site, sustaining burns.
Local labor unions have expressed frustration, noting that such industrial tragedies appear to be recurring.
