Italy's 2026 Pordenonelegge Book Festival and PiazzAsiago Cultural Forum Announced

The Pordenonelegge literary festival will take place from 16 to 20 September 2026 in Pordenone, featuring 434 events and more than 650 speakers. The program includes 59 book previews with authors such as Michel Houellebecq, Pulitzer winner Andrew Sean Greer, philosopher Peter Sloterdijk, Iranian exile writer Kader Abdolah, Franco‑Moroccan novelist Leila Slimani and others.

From 1 to 5 August 2026, the town of Asiago will host the fourth edition of PiazzAsiago, a five‑day political‑cultural series organized with the patronage of the Comune di Asiago and the European Commission. The agenda covers topics like international balances, the future of Europe, the economy, energy and justice, and features speakers such as journalist Roberto Saviano, former prime minister Giuseppe Conte, prosecutor Nicola Gratteri and Minister Gilberto Pichetto Fratin.
