As part of its preparations for the 2027 designation, Pordenone is undertaking significant urban and cultural transformations. Urban redevelopment is set to begin on Piazza del Popolo and the Centro Studi gardens, a six-month project intended to unify the two areas into a single green space by March. This work will involve phased construction and temporary changes to local traffic and parking.

Simultaneously, the city is launching an extensive two-year exhibition program to build momentum. This includes over 50 exhibitions spanning ancient and contemporary art, photography, archaeology, and science, involving local museums, galleries, and libraries in collaboration with the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. The program intends to highlight the connection between culture and local industry while showcasing both established international names and emerging artists.
