Italy’s Chiaravalle Arte and Villa Fidelia Launch Major 2026 Contemporary Art Festivals

The fifth edition of Chiaravalle Arte, the national contemporary art prize promoted by the Chiaravalle Centrale municipality and the Consulta della Cultura, opened and will run until 9 August 2026. Curated by Nicola De Luca with a curatorial team including Lara Caccia and Roberto Sottile, the event showcases 23 established artists and ten emerging creators from across Italy, extending its program beyond visual art to music, literature, architecture and new technologies.

In Umbria, the ten‑year anniversary of the international contemporary art kermesse “Stati d’Arte” began at Villa Fidelia in Spello and will continue through 30 August. Director Andrea Baffoni describes it as an “esthetic experience,” featuring more than one hundred works by artists of varied media and nationalities. The exhibition is organized by the Casa degli Artisti association and supported by regional officials, emphasizing a dialogue with the cultural legacy of Saint Francis.

Both festivals aim to foster interdisciplinary exchange and highlight Italy’s vibrant contemporary‑art scene in 2026.
