Italy’s energy firms roll out youth recruitment and training programmes

Enna Verdi Energie, a benefit‑corporation in Italy, announced a new hiring drive aimed at recent graduates in engineering, architecture and surveying. The company seeks to staff projects on community energy, sustainable construction and energy‑efficiency upgrades, working in partnership with construction firm Edil MaggioS. As Claudio Cravotta explained, the goal is to give young professionals “a context in which they can truly grow”.

Separately, Enel’s “Energie per la Scuola” programme continues to train students for the energy transition. In Tuscany, the 2025‑2026 edition helped seven ITIS A. Santucci graduates complete 80 hours of theory and 40 hours of laboratory work, leading to job‑interview opportunities with partner firms. The initiative is expanding, with a new “Energie per il Futuro” project in Caivano that involved more than 40 third‑year students. Both efforts aim to reduce the skills gap in Italy’s growing renewable‑energy and energy‑efficiency sectors.
