Italy's fire services battle landfill blaze, confront Ostia response delays

In Ostia, the closure of the historic fire station on Via Angelo Celli after a ceiling collapse has led the USB union to warn of response times delayed by up to 30 minutes. The union has launched a petition urging authorities to find a new operational base for the area, which covers Ostia, Ostia Antica, Acilia and surrounding districts, emphasizing the importance of rapid emergency services for residents and visitors during the summer season.
