Italy's INPS opens renewal applications for Assegno di Inclusione on August 1, 2026

In July 2026 the final (twelfth) monthly payment of the Assegno di Inclusione was disbursed to families that had received uninterrupted support since the previous year. The Italian Institute of Social Security (INPS) announced that, starting 1 August 2026, eligible households must submit a new renewal application to continue receiving the benefit.

Renewal requests may be filed by the original applicant or any other adult member of the household, but only after the month following the last received payment (the eighteenth month for first‑time applicants or the twelfth month for previous renewals). Applications submitted during the final month of the preceding entitlement will be rejected. The guidelines are detailed in INPS note 2437 dated 22 July 2026.

The Assegno di Inclusione is a social‑welfare allowance for families in poverty, requiring residency of at least five years, an ISEE below €10 140 (or €8 190 for households with seniors or severe disability), and includes both income support and a housing‑rent component.
