Italy's INPS rolls out proactive digital alerts for 2026 social allowance and freelance bonus

The National Institute of Social Security (INPS) announced on 12 June 2026 that it will use its Proactive Personalization Platform to send personalised notifications to citizens who may qualify for the 2026 Assegno Sociale. The benefit provides €546.24 per month for 13 installments and is aimed at low‑income individuals. The alerts are reminders only; applicants must still submit a request through MyINPS, authorised patronati or the contact centre, using a qualified digital identity (SPID, CIE, CNS or eIDAS).

At the same time, INPS opened online applications for the ISCR0 (Indennità Straordinaria di Continuità Reddituale e Operativa) bonus, a fiscal‑relief measure for freelancers and self‑employed workers registered with the Separate Management. Applications are accepted from 15 June 2026 until 31 October 2026 via the INPS website or contact centre. Eligibility requires prior registration, no receipt of the bonus in 2024‑2025, and compliance with income limits. The programme also uses the same digital platform and identification methods.

Both initiatives are part of INPS’s broader digitalisation effort funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, intended to increase uptake of social support measures.
