Italy’s Puglia region wraps up PNRR‑funded digital aid points and community health houses

On 30 June 2026 the municipality of Bari announced the closure of its PNRR‑funded digital facilitation points. Thirteen sites that helped citizens access services such as SPID, electronic identity cards, PagoPA, and health records assisted 14 652 users over two and a half years, with satisfaction rates above 94%.

In the same week, Puglia health and welfare assessor Donato Pentassuglia reported that the region has built 83 community houses for health and social care, meeting the national PNRR target. While several facilities are already operating, the remaining ones await certification. The regional government is now focusing on securing staff—doctors, nurses, and technical personnel—to fully staff the new centres and plans to use any leftover PNRR funding for further expansion.
