From 3 August to 30 August, the Milan Passante railway will be closed for a full month while RFI carries out extraordinary maintenance on the infrastructure and stations between Rogoredo, Certosa and Bovisa. Trenord will reroute the S1, S5 and S13 suburban lines to Milano Porta Garibaldi Superficie, altering routes and travel times for commuters throughout the city and its suburbs.

Separately, the Verona‑Vicenza line will be suspended for 15 days, from 02 August 05:00 to 17 August, as part of a €72 million upgrade to accommodate the new high‑speed AV/AC corridor. The shutdown also affects the Vicenza‑Schio segment. Works include installation of new high‑speed track connections, civil engineering works, noise‑barrier upgrades and modifications at Vicenza station. Both projects are part of Italy’s broader effort to modernise its rail infrastructure ahead of PNRR targets.
