Itamar Ben-Gvir calls for 30 to 40 nightly killings in Gaza

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has called for intensified military operations in Gaza, proposing that Israeli forces carry out targeted killings of 30 to 40 people every night.

During a podcast conversation with former hostage Rom Braslavski, Ben-Gvir argued that military targets should extend beyond those posing an immediate threat. He used dehumanizing language, describing some Palestinians as not being people and stating they are not worthy of life. He also asserted that all of Gaza belongs to Israel.

While Ben-Gvir is a key member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s governing coalition and sits on the security cabinet, he does not hold direct command authority over the military or the power to order airstrikes. His comments come amid stalled ceasefire negotiations and criticism of the current scale of Israeli military strikes.
