Itapúa prepares for 2026 WRC Rally del Paraguay

The 2026 WRC Rally del Paraguay is set to transform the Itapúa department into a major hub for both motorsport and tourism. The competition will traverse several localities, including Encarnación, Cambyretá, Carmen del Paraná, Capitán Miranda, Nueva Alborada, Bella Vista, Hohenau, Trinidad, and General Artigas, connecting rural landscapes and natural scenery.

Encarnación will serve as a primary concentration point for visitors, offering extensive hotel, gastronomic, and entertainment infrastructure. Beyond the racing, the event aims to promote regional attractions such as the Paraná River beaches, the Jesuit Missions of Trinidad, and various local museums.

To manage the influx of spectators, organizers have launched the ‘Rally del Paraguay’ official mobile app for Android and iOS. César Marsal, the WRC executive director in Paraguay, stated that the app is designed to guide fans to authorized viewing points and provide real-time updates. The application will also serve as a safety tool, notifying users if stages are interrupted or if specific areas are affected by incidents, ensuring a structured and secure experience for the public.
