Itty Bitty Kitty Committee launches kitten adoption drive

The Itty Bitty Kitty Committee (IBKC), an animal welfare charity serving Greater Victoria and Vancouver Island, is launching an adoption drive during National Adoption Week from October 19 to 25. To increase visibility, the organization will bring adoptable kittens to PetSmart locations in Uptown and Duncan.

IBKC president Sharon Rubin noted that despite completing over 400 adoptions this year, the charity remains at capacity due to an influx of owner surrenders, unexpected litters, and injured or sick kittens. The partnership with PetSmart aims to reach potential owners that the charity might not otherwise encounter, helping to create space for new rescues.
