Ivace+i allocates €2.9 million to nine new innovation units in Valencia
Ivace+i Innovación has earmarked €2.9 million to fund nine new Units of Scientific Innovation for Business (UCIE) at universities and research centres of excellence in the Valencian Community. The financing, part of line 2 of the “Valorisation of research results towards companies” programme, includes a 60 % contribution from the European Union through the FEDER 2021‑2027 fund.
With the nine additions, the regional UCIE network reaches 22 active units. The new units will work on strategic areas such as health, artificial intelligence, agri‑food and biotechnology, aiming to accelerate the transfer of scientific results to the Valencian productive fabric. Regional Minister Marián Cano said the support strengthens the link between the scientific‑technological system and industry, improving competitiveness of the Valencian economy.
