Violent incidents reported in Mersin, Aydın, and İzmir

Several violent incidents have been reported across different Turkish provinces, captured on security footage.

In Mersin, a male customer identified as Kürşat T. attacked gym owner Aylin Demirtaş by grabbing her throat during a dispute. The assault was interrupted by another woman in the gym. Following a complaint, the suspect was detained but later released under judicial control.

In Aydın's Söke district, cafe owner Emrah Şavun was assaulted with a stick by an individual identified as O. Ç. The attacker entered the establishment and struck Şavun without provocation before fleeing. Police identified the suspect through camera footage and subsequently arrested him; he has been sent to prison.

In İzmir's Seferihisar district, an indictment has been prepared against İpek Akıncı following a dispute at a beach. Akıncı is accused of using hateful language and discriminatory behavior against a mother and daughter, including targeting the daughter due to her religious attire. The prosecution is seeking up to three years in prison for preventing access to public services based on religious or sectarian differences.
