İzmir Culture Route Festival begins with 303 events

The 24th stop of the Turkey Culture Route Festival has commenced in İzmir, running from October 24 to November 1. Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the festival features 303 events across 11 different venues, including opera, ballet, concerts, theater, and exhibitions.

A major theme of this year's festival is the promotion of regional gastronomy. To showcase İzmir's culinary heritage, 110 designated 'flavor points' have been established to introduce local specialties such as boyoz and Aegean olive oil dishes to visitors.

Special programming includes the ASELSAN Children's Festival, which utilizes interactive technology and augmented reality to engage younger audiences in science and innovation. Additionally, several exhibitions are being hosted at the İzmir Culture and Art Factory, including 'Sacred Relics of the Ottoman Empire' and 'Living Heritage İzmir'.
