İzmir to host 6th International Fire Symposium and Exhibition

The 6th International Fire Symposium and Exhibition is scheduled to take place in İzmir on September 17-18. Organized through a collaboration between the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and professional chambers under the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB), the event aims to address fire safety through a holistic approach.

A promotional meeting was recently held at the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers (MMO) Tepekule Congress and Exhibition Center. During the meeting, Ahmet Karaman, Head of the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, emphasized that fire risks in cities are diversifying. He noted that climate change-driven forest fires, increasing high-rise urbanization, and industrial facility risks necessitate a comprehensive evaluation of fire safety.

The two-day symposium will feature experts discussing various topics, including fire prevention, intervention methods, technological advancements, and inspection processes. The event seeks to share professional knowledge and experience to develop effective solutions for modern fire risks while increasing public awareness.
