LOGISTECH International Logistics Fair in Izmir

Overview

The 5th LOGISTECH International Logistics, Storage, and Technologies Fair opened at Fuar İzmir on October 7, 2026. Organized by İZFAŞ in cooperation with the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, the three-day event runs through October 9, focusing on land, sea, and air transportation, automation, artificial intelligence, and digital logistics technologies.

During the opening sessions, Dr. Yusuf Karakaş, Deputy General Manager of International Service Trade at the Turkish Ministry of Trade, emphasized the sector’s economic impact, noting that logistics ranked second in Turkey’s service exports last year with a contribution of $42.4 billion, trailing only tourism. Karakaş detailed Ministry support mechanisms intended to boost the global competitiveness of Turkish firms, including assistance with brand registration, market entry documentation, and international marketing. He also highlighted the Overseas Logistics Distribution Networks (YLDA) Program, which aims to strengthen infrastructure and establish global logistics networks.

The exhibition continues to facilitate business collaborations through bilateral meetings between exporters and international representatives. Participation includes 20 foreign companies from nations such as Japan, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Azerbaijan, and Egypt. The program features panels on the digitalization and resilience of the air cargo industry, following previous discussions regarding the modernization of the Alsancak, Aliağa, and Çandarlı ports.
