Jaan Roose sets slacklining world record in Bratislava
Estonian slackliner Jaan Roose has set a new world record in Bratislava, Slovakia. During an extreme challenge titled ‘From Dawn to Dusk’, Roose balanced on a narrow line suspended approximately 100 meters above the ground.
The slackline stretched 666 meters between Bratislava Castle and the UFO observation deck. Using a dynamic strap only 1.9 centimeters wide, Roose spent 12 hours performing continuous crossings in both directions. By the end of the attempt, he had covered a total distance of 14.7 kilometers.
Roose, a three-time world champion, is known for several high-profile feats, including crossing the Bosporus and walking from mainland Italy to Sicily. This latest achievement marks a significant milestone in his professional slacklining career.
