Jabalpur-Nagpur Expressway to enhance connectivity to Goa and Mumbai

Plans are advancing for the Jabalpur-Nagpur Greenfield Expressway, a project intended to significantly improve connectivity between Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) is expected to be submitted soon.

Once completed, the corridor is designed to link with the Samruddhi Mahamarg and the Nagpur-Goa Shaktipeeth Expressway. This network is expected to reduce travel time from Jabalpur to Goa from approximately 24 hours to between 11 and 12 hours. Additionally, travel time from Jabalpur to Mumbai is projected to drop to roughly 10 to 11 hours, while the trip to Nagpur could be completed in about 3 hours.

The project is being developed in three stages and aims to boost commerce, tourism, and freight transport by connecting the Mahakaushal region to major economic hubs.
