Jack Butland moves from Rangers to Hull City in £3m transfer

Goalkeeper Jack Butland has left Rangers after three seasons and more than 150 appearances, joining Hull City on a £3 million deal effective 1 July 2026. The move is part of a goalkeeper swap that sees 26‑year‑old Croatian keeper Ivor Pandur head to Ibrox for a £6 million fee, giving Rangers a younger option while Hull City gains an experienced shot‑stopper.

The transfer is conducted entirely with traditional cash and player exchange, with no fan tokens or blockchain payments involved. Hull City, which previously experimented with cryptocurrency sponsorship and a failed crypto‑crowdfunding bid, is now completing a straightforward financial transaction.

The deal follows a period of significant staff turnover at Rangers, including changes to the coaching team and the departure of several senior staff members.
