Jack Lowden reportedly a top contender for James Bond role

Actor Jack Lowden has emerged as a potential candidate for the role of James Bond, according to British presenter and author Richard Osman. Speaking on the podcast ‘The Rest Is Entertainment’, Osman stated that Lowden is being ‘strongly considered’ for the iconic 007 role.

While Osman clarified that the actor has not been officially cast, the speculation follows years of searching for a successor to Daniel Craig. Lowden, 36, is a Scottish actor known for his role as River Cartwright in the Apple TV+ series ‘Slow Horses’ and for appearing in Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dunkirk’. If selected, he would be the first Scottish actor to play Bond since Sean Connery.

The upcoming Bond project is expected to be directed by Denis Villeneuve, with Steven Knight working on the script. Although Amazon MGM Studios has not officially commented on the rumors, industry speculation suggests the casting process is reaching a decisive phase.
