Jack Nicklaus visits Cap Cana to oversee Las Iguanas Golf Course
Legendary golfer and designer Jack Nicklaus has returned to Cap Cana to oversee the progress of the Las Iguanas Golf Course. The project is being developed under the Jack Nicklaus Signature Design firm.
Currently, the first nine holes of the course are operational. The full 18-hole course is projected for completion by the end of 2026, with a full official opening scheduled for the spring of 2027. During his visit, Nicklaus and his team evaluated design, construction, and the integration of the course with the natural environment of the destination.
Fernando Hazoury, Chairman of the Board of Cap Cana, noted that the collaboration supports the long-term vision of positioning Cap Cana as a world-class destination. The partnership also highlights the success of the Punta Espada Golf Club, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
