Jacy Jayne reflects on NXT Women's Championship victory

In a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, WWE NXT wrestler Jacy Jayne reflected on her May 2025 victory over Stephanie Vaquer to capture the NXT Women's Championship. Jayne, who won the title with assistance from Fatal Influence members Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx, described the moment as feeling like an ‘out-of-body experience’ due to the disbelief she felt after long envisioning the win.

Jayne's championship win was met with significant backlash from fans online, many of whom were unhappy that Vaquer lost her title via cheating after a 77-day reign. Despite the negative reception, Jayne stated that the hostility does not bother her and instead serves as motivation. She expressed a desire to move past her reputation as an underdog to be recognized as ‘the It Girl’ and noted that being underestimated drives her to work harder.
