Jacy Jayne reveals fear of WWE release prior to NXT title win

WWE wrestler Jacy Jayne revealed in recent interviews that she believed her career with the company was ending shortly before she won the NXT Women's Championship. Following the disbandment of the wrestling trio Toxic Attraction, Jayne experienced a period of professional uncertainty and struggled with her headspace and direction.

Jayne noted that while she was pushing for singles opportunities, WWE officials indicated she needed to improve her in-ring performance and microphone skills. To address this, she sought direct feedback from Shawn Michaels, asking for a single match to prove her capabilities as a solo performer. Michaels advised her to remain consistent.

Jayne intensified her training by attending the WWE Performance Center during the day and additional wrestling classes in Orlando at night. This period of increased effort preceded her championship victory on May 27, 2025, when she defeated Stephanie Vaquer to win the NXT Women's title, a move that helped propel her toward the SmackDown roster.
