JAECOO Indonesia launches official J5 EV genuine body kit

JAECOO Indonesia has officially launched the JAECOO J5 EV Genuine Body Kit, an original accessory package developed through a participatory co-creation program with its users. The launch took place during the ‘JAECOO Weekend Drive: J5 EV Co-Creation’ event in Jakarta on September 26, 2026.

The design of the body kit was informed by research involving 126 respondents, including customers and potential buyers, during the International User Summit in Wuhu, China, and the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2026. The feedback indicated a consumer preference for a combination of sporty and premium aesthetics.

Alexander Haimir, Brand Manager of OMODA JAECOO Indonesia, stated that the initiative is part of the ‘JAECOO Genuine for You’ philosophy, aiming to translate consumer aspirations into tangible products. The event also featured a gathering of approximately 100 JAECOO J5 EV units modified by owners and included a symbolic handover of the body kits to select customers.
