YSRCP accuses Andhra Pradesh government of suppressing DSC recruitment scam reports
The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has accused the Andhra Pradesh government of censorship and corruption regarding the Mega District Selection Committee (DSC)-2025 teacher recruitment process. The opposition party alleges that the state government, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, has used the Cyber Crime Wing to request Meta to block social media accounts belonging to the YSRCP and its supporters, including the Sakshi media group, to suppress reports of recruitment irregularities.
Key allegations include the misuse of the sports quota to award jobs to ineligible candidates, the appointment of individuals who failed to pass the mandatory Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), and potential paper leaks. YSRCP leaders, including YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Jakkampudi Raja, have claimed that audio leaks exist which suggest fixed prices for teacher posts.
The YSRCP is demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the recruitment process and the resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh, accusing the Chief Minister of shielding his son from scrutiny.
