Jaguar Land Rover recalls nearly 94,000 Range Rover vehicles in US
Jaguar Land Rover North America is recalling 93,997 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles manufactured between 2022 and 2026 due to a defect in the rearview camera system. According to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the rearview camera components lack sufficient drainage holes, which can cause water to accumulate inside the unit.
This accumulation may result in blurry images or a complete loss of the camera feed, potentially preventing drivers from seeing obstacles or pedestrians while reversing. Such a defect increases the risk of collisions.
To remedy the issue, authorized dealers will inspect the affected vehicles and drill additional drainage holes beneath the tailgate trim. If the camera is found to be damaged by water, it will be replaced free of charge. Jaguar Land Rover plans to send notification letters to owners starting December 11.
