Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 announces second single as Dhanush postpones Om

Promotional activities for the upcoming Tamil film “Jailer 2” are intensifying ahead of its scheduled worldwide theatrical release on October 15, 2026. Sun Pictures has announced that the film’s second single, titled “One Sun One Moon,” will be released on September 25. The track, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, reportedly pays tribute to a famous dialogue from the 1995 film “Baasha.”

Recent character reveals have introduced Vidya Balan as Kaantha, alongside other cast members such as S. J. Suryah and Suraj Venjaramoodu. The film, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, serves as a sequel to the 2023 hit “Jailer” and features Rajinikanth reprising his role as Muthuvel Pandian.

In a related industry development, actor Dhanush has announced the postponement of his film “Om,” which was originally slated for an October 16 release. Citing immense respect for Rajinikanth and a desire to avoid a box office clash, Dhanush stated the decision was made to ensure the “larger welfare of cinema and the industry.” A new release date for “Om” has yet to be confirmed.
