Jailer 2 surpasses 800 crore in worldwide box office collections

The action-crime drama Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth, has achieved a significant milestone by collecting over 800 crore rupees in worldwide box office earnings. As of its 20th day in theaters, the film has reached a global total of approximately 816.9 crore rupees, including 275.25 crore rupees from international markets.

In India, the film has earned a net collection of 463.05 crore rupees. The Tamil version remains the primary driver of revenue, while the Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada versions also contribute to the domestic total. The film is currently approaching a record in Tamil Nadu, needing approximately 6.8 crore rupees to surpass the earnings of Vijay's The Greatest of All Time.

Regarding digital distribution, reports suggest that the OTT rights for the film were purchased for 160 crore rupees. It is speculated that Jailer 2 may begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video around November 12, following a four-week theatrical window. The streaming version is reportedly expected to include 30 minutes of uncut scenes featuring Mohanlal.
