Jaipur Literature Festival to hold 20th edition in January 2027

The Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) will hold its 20th edition from January 14 to 18, 2027, at Hotel Clarks Amer in Jaipur. Supported by the Government of Rajasthan, the milestone event will operate under the theme ‘20 Years of Ideas. Stories. Conversations’.

Since its inception in 2008, the festival has hosted over 8,000 writers, speakers, and artists, welcoming more than five million in-person visitors and reaching an estimated one billion people through digital and broadcast platforms. The festival has expanded internationally with over 15 editions held in countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, Australia, and the Maldives.

To celebrate its two decades of impact, the festival is highlighting India’s linguistic diversity through its ‘Bhasha Swarmala’ series, which aims to honor the country's many languages. Co-director Namita Gokhale noted that the celebration would be released simultaneously across all 22 official languages of India.
