Jaipur Literature Festival global activities

The Jaipur Literature Festival is expanding its reach through both international tours and its milestone anniversary in India.

In late 2026, the festival announced a North American tour spanning seven cities across the United States and Canada. Running from September 11 to October 4, the program features over 100 global voices discussing topics such as artificial intelligence, geopolitics, and climate change. The tour includes new locations in Los Angeles and Toronto.

Looking ahead to January 2027, the festival will celebrate its 20th edition in Jaipur, India. Scheduled for January 14 to 18 at Hotel Clarks Amer, the milestone event will operate under the theme ‘20 Years of Ideas, Stories, and Dialogue’. Supported by the Government of Rajasthan, the festival aims to honor India’s linguistic diversity through the ‘Bhasha Swarnmala’ series, which intends to release content simultaneously across all 22 official languages of India.

Since its inception in 2008, the festival has hosted over 8,000 writers, speakers, and artists, reaching an estimated one billion people through digital and broadcast platforms. Its international footprint includes over 15 editions held in countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, Australia, and the Maldives.
