Alexandre de Moraes denies Father's Day visit request for Jair Bolsonaro

Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes has rejected a request from the legal defense of former President Jair Bolsonaro to allow his children—Carlos, Flávio, and Jair Renan—to visit him for Father's Day.

Bolsonaro is currently serving a 27-year and three-month sentence in house arrest for his role in an attempted coup d'état. The justice maintained a previous decision that suspends all visits to Bolsonaro for 30 days, with exceptions only for legal counsel and medical teams.

The suspension of visits was triggered by a violation of judicial conditions. Specifically, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, a presidential candidate for the PL party, shared a handwritten letter from his father on social media. Moraes ruled this an infringement of the court's prohibition against Bolsonaro using social media, either directly or through third parties.
