Jaish-e-Mohammed rebuilds Bahawalpur headquarters in Pakistan

Reports indicate that the UN-designated terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) has rebuilt its headquarters in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. The Markaz Subhanallah complex, which sustained heavy damage during India’s Operation Sindoor in May 2025, has reportedly undergone extensive reconstruction, including new plaster, paint, and polished marble.

Intelligence inputs suggest the Pakistani establishment provided approximately Rs 25 crore in cash installments to JeM for the reconstruction, with roughly Rs 11 crore specifically allocated for the central hall. Other damaged structures, such as the Madrasa Al-Sabir indoctrination center and residential quarters for commanders, have also been cleared, demolished, or rebuilt.

Operation Sindoor was a coordinated strike by the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack in April 2025. The operation targeted nine terror facilities across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, utilizing 24 missiles and resulting in an estimated 70 terrorist fatalities.
