Jakarta rolls out expanded E‑Monev program, online tax data fixes and vehicle tax amnesty

The Jakarta Information Commission (KI DKI) praised the record participation of public bodies in the E‑Monev assessment, with 829 entities taking part in 2025 and a target of 1,001 for 2026. Chairman Harry Ara Hutabarat highlighted that only 189 bodies (about 18.5%) meet the informative status and called for greater capacity building, innovation and digitalisation in public‑information services.

The Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) reminded residents to verify and, if necessary, correct their Land and Building Tax (PBB‑P2) data online. Taxpayers can request adjustments to property details, owner identity or assessment amounts by submitting a correction request with supporting documents through the agency’s e‑service platform.

Governor Pramono Anung urged motorists to take advantage of the vehicle‑tax amnesty that runs until August 2026, covering regional vehicle taxes as well as land‑title and vehicle‑transfer fees (BPHTB and BBNKB). He warned that the program may not be offered again next year, so taxpayers should settle their obligations promptly.
