Jakarta odd‑even rule applies to 28 toll‑gate ramps, police say
The Metropolitan Police of Jakarta clarified that the odd‑even traffic restriction at 28 toll‑gate access points is not a new policy. According to Traffic Directorate chief Kombes Pol Komarudin, the rule is already embedded in Governor Regulation No. 88/2019, which governs the odd‑even scheme on main city roads that intersect toll‑gate on‑ramps and off‑ramps. He said, “Sebenarnya itu bukan kebijakan baru ya… titik gerbang keluar dan masuk jalan tersebut merupakan bagian dari pemberlakuan ganjil‑genap yang sudah ada.” The governor, Pramono Anung, echoed this, stating there is “tidak ada peraturan baru mengenai ganjil‑genap.” The scheme restricts vehicles with odd or even plate numbers on weekdays during two periods, 06:00‑10:00 and 16:00‑21:00, but does not affect traffic inside the tollways themselves, which remain under Jasa Marga. Authorities urged drivers to consult the official list of affected ramps and warned that misinformation circulating on social media about a new restriction is unfounded.
