Jakarta Police Arrest Motor Theft Suspects in Ciracas and South Jakarta

Police in Jakarta arrested a man identified as MF after a motorbike theft at an indekos in Ciracas, East Jakarta. The victim, FR, reported the bike missing early on 8 June 2026. CCTV footage of the theft went viral, leading a neighbor to recognize the bike and alert authorities. Officers tracked the motorcycle to Jatiwaringin, Bekasi, and detained MF.

Separately, Jakarta Metropolitan Police’s Brimob unit apprehended three suspects in Pancoran, South Jakarta, on 13 June 2026 during a patrol operation. The detainees were found with two motorcycles, several smartphones, wallets and a cache of alleged ecstasy pills and other substances. The arrests are part of an ongoing crackdown on vehicle theft and related drug offenses in the capital.
