Jakarta Police Launch Citywide Waste‑Segregation Drive

The Metropolitan Police of Jakarta (Polda Metro Jaya) inaugurated the “Jaga Jakarta Bersih dan Asri” campaign with an appeal ceremony at the Polda stadium, distributing hundreds of bins for separate collection of organic and inorganic waste. The initiative is intended to embed a culture of environmental responsibility among police personnel and the broader community, matching national policies on urban waste management.

At the same time, the Kepulauan Seribu police precinct (Polres Kepulauan Seribu) conducted its own launch, organising a cleaning and sorting operation at its headquarters. Officers and local community groups separated waste on‑site and carried out a joint clean‑up, reinforcing the police's commitment to a cleaner, healthier environment in Jakarta.
