Jakarta Police Launch Mobile Driver's License Renewal Service

The Traffic Directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya) operated a mobile driver's license renewal service (SIM Keliling) on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The service was available from 08:00 to 12:00 at five locations across the city: the lobby of Grand Cakung Mall in East Jakarta, the main lobby of LTC Glodok in North Jakarta, the parking area beside Universitas Trilogi Kalibata in South Jakarta, the south lobby of Ciputra Mall in West Jakarta, and the parking area of the Pos Lapangan Banteng office in Central Jakarta.

The mobile unit accepted renewals only for active Class A and Class C licenses. Required documents included a copy of a valid electronic ID card, a copy of the old license together with the original, a health check certificate, and a psychological test certificate. The renewal fee was set at Rp80,000 for Class A and Rp75,000 for Class C, as stipulated by Government Regulation No. 60/2016. Expired licenses and Class B licenses (for vehicles over 3.5 tonnes) could not be processed at the mobile sites and had to be handled at the regular Satpas offices.
