Jakarta relocates Kramat Jati vendors to restore public space

The Jakarta Provincial Government is relocating approximately 614 street vendors from the Jalan Raya Bogor area near Kramat Market to various designated locations to restore public space and reduce traffic congestion.

Governor Pramono Anung stated that the relocation aims to be more humanistic than traditional evictions by providing proper trading spaces. To support the transition, the government is waiving the monthly retribution fee of Rp180,000 for the first six months for relocated vendors.

The distribution of vendors includes 331 individuals to Pasar Kramat Jati Sector 7, 193 fish vendors to the Kramat Jati Lokbin, 45 cake vendors to Lokbin Cililitan, and 45 others to markets managed by Perumda Pasar Jaya.
