Jakarta reports residential and waste fires in Pesanggrahan and Pulau Tidung

Two separate fire incidents were reported in the Jakarta area. In Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, a residential fire occurred on Jalan Baru 2, Ulujami. The South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) suspects the blaze was caused by an electrical malfunction. The fire, which affected a 100-square-meter area inhabited by eight people, was brought under control by 01:30 WIB after 83 personnel were deployed. No casualties or injuries were reported.

In Pulau Tidung, North Jakarta, a fire broke out in a 100-square-meter pile of waste near SMKN 61. Authorities suspect the fire was triggered by improperly discarded cigarette butts. Firefighters arrived at the scene at 04:40 WIB and successfully extinguished the flames by 05:30 WIB. No injuries were reported in this incident.
