Jakarta residents report Desil data inaccuracies at Pospera complaint center
Hundreds of Jakarta residents, including daily laborers, the elderly, people with disabilities, and ride-hailing drivers, have gathered at a complaint center to report inaccuracies in their 'Desil' economic classification data. The Posko Perjuangan Rakyat (Pospera) established this center in Cipinang, East Jakarta, to inventory actual socio-economic conditions and address discrepancies in state data.
Mustar Bona Ventura Manurung, Chairman of Pospera, stated that errors in how the state records housing, employment, and health status have resulted in incorrect Desil rankings. These inaccuracies prevent eligible citizens from accessing essential government programs, such as the Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP), Kartu Jakarta Pintar (KJP), and various health and social assistance initiatives. Pospera intends to expand these complaint centers to the sub-district and village levels to assist more citizens in correcting their data.
