Jakarta students enjoy free attractions and Netflix picks as school holidays start

The Jakarta provincial government announced that on the first two days of the 2026 school break (June 27‑28), students can visit a list of tourist sites and sports facilities at no cost and ride Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta and LRT Jakarta for a special fare of Rp 1. Free venues include Ancol, Monas, Ragunan Zoo, ten city‑run museums and several public swimming pools.

At the same time, families are encouraged to spend holiday time watching recommended Netflix films suitable for all ages. The suggested lineup features titles such as *K‑Pop Demon Hunters*, *The Mitchells vs. The Machines*, *Nimona*, *The Sea Beast*, and *Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio*, among others, each highlighted for themes of friendship, bravery and family values.
